Circus

1. a travelling company of entertainers; including trained animals
2. performance given by a traveling company of acrobats and clowns
3. a frenetic disorganized (and often comic) disturbance suggestive of a large public entertainment

I saw this definition and thought it fit us. HAHA.

We had a great time going to the Circus over the weekend. It was a little slow at some points and it lost the interest of our children.. except the flashing swords that kept walking by us.. the kids never lost interest in those! Maybe when everyone gets a little older we will have to try again. But until then, at least it was an interesting memory!

And speaking of the Circus, I have been training in Aerial Silks for a competition on April 8th. I can definitely tell I am getting stronger, but it will still take some time to hopefully get to the caliper that the other performers are at.

And I just wanted to add a few cute pictures of the little tots over the last couple of weeks. I sure have a good group of kidlets!

My runt is tall!

I took Blake in to his 3 year appointment today. The nurse was confused if it was his 3rd or 4th year checkup because she thought he was so tall - haha. We always joke that Blake will be our runt and be around 6'2 when he is all grown up. He is 3ft 3inches tall (85%) and 37lbs (93%).

We just love our little Blakey. The doctor said he was very well mannered and must be very active with all the bruises on his shins. haha. She was impressed he could draw pictures with faces on them, and said that's a skill normally mastered closer to 4 years old. Maybe we've got a little artist on our hands.

2013 so far

2013 is going to be a great year, I can feel it already! Lots of adventures to face, lots of decisions to be made, lot of milestones to reach. Can't wait!

Blake is now a Sunbeam. What a cutie. I think he's more excited that he can turn around in church and see his big brother behind him than anything. He is a very sweet kid, and if you ask him why he is so cute, he will reply, "Because I have boo eyes!" (blue eyes) - not sure where he learned that. haha.

He can count to ten, although he sometimes leaves out 4. And can build cool towers, do forward rolls, handstands, and loves to exercise with Jack and I. He absolutely loves Tyler. He always wants to give him love (hug him) and will wrestle with him, lay on him, and talks to him constantly. They have such a funny relationship, because Tye just loves being a part of all the craziness.

Tyler just wants to stand all the time to the point he will just straighten his legs when you try to set him down. He is rocking on all fours right now and has crawled the traditional way quite a few times - he will be a pro in about a week I am sure. He loves the water and his johnny jumper.

He just always has to be a part of the commotion, and doesn't mind keeping up with his brothers. When they are too rough with him, he holds his own and just will grab them until it hurts or pull their hair. He has started pointing at everything. What a stinkin cutie! He is also a big baby - tall and sturdy. My uncle joked I should get him a basketball shaped sippy cup!

Oh, Jack. What a hoot. This kid is so fun and genuinely kind. He is a very smart kid. He can count all the way to 100, can write and read a handful of words, can do simple math and can draw and create such neat things. He is very athletic and very reasonable when talking to him about anything. He is a great example for his younger brothers, and really does look out for them - as well as Trent and I.

Jack makes sure we are exercising and eating healthy so we can live a long time, and makes sure not to put anything in our cart at the store unless it's on sale.

Since Jack has started talking, he has stuttered a little bit. It had receded a little during the winter, but now we have taken him to a speech therapist to help him for a half hour once a week. We wanted to help him as much as we could before he starts Kindergarten in the fall. Wow.. my little guy is starting Kindergarten in the fall. AMAZING how time flies! I am excited for him, and he's very excited himself. He is growing up so fast. Love my little dude.

Oh.. and Jack has started letting us know he is not happy with us over something by giving us papers that look like this...

But when we make up and all is well in the world, he crosses them out like you see above then draws this on the back side of the paper...

I sure love my boys! I did a project I have been wanting to do for quite some time, now I just need to get them on the wall. Tyler's was the hardest to do considering he just wanted to squish the paint in his hand the whole time - haha! And I wrote that Jack was 5 on his, but he will be in a little over a month so I figured it was okay :)

Just keep remembering, this year is going to be awesome. So if you haven't already, go out and make it so! And keep those smiles and grins coming!! :D
