First (pre)school pictures!

Trent was a little hesitant to get the school pictures because we do already take a lot of our own, but there is something special about the school ones. I have always loved how his mom has kept all of her kid's photos and puts a new one in front every year as they got older- and you could just snap the back off and look through all of them at one time.

One thing I forgot to mention to them, is that if you ask Jack to smile for a picture - he gives the cheesiest grin! Haha. Sure love you Jack.

Jack has loved his class and his teacher, who he has said more than once that she will really miss him when he's gone.

He isn't too sentimental about some of the projects he makes at school (which Trent claims he got from him), and sometimes he doesn't even feel like bringing them home! Haha. But Jack does his fair share of crafts and pictures at home. And you can tell how important those ones are to him, because he will threaten that if we aren't nice to him he will take away our pictures. :)

Smiles and Love

Trent and I got to go dancing for Valentines Day. We had a lot of fun, and we really tore up the dance floor :) We haven't danced like that for years! It was also really nice just going out as the two of us.. it's kind of a weird experience, haha - we should probably do it more often!
Jack decided to make us our very own Valentines Day cards! He made them all by himself, with no prompting from us at all. He is such a thoughtful kid. Hope everyone had a great time themselves!

Joy of growth.. and cold days

With it being so cold outside, and lots and lots of snow.. we have had to find ways to have fun inside while staying warm. This picture right below was of some huge icicles that were hanging from our roof - ha Trent is so funny. I sure love him! ( and those of you know know us well, you know he calls me 'bug').

And this picture of Jack cracks me up. It's hard to see very well in the picture, but his cheeks are very very red. It's after he went and helped shovel all the snow off of the sidewalks at church one night. Trent was a little hesitant at first to take him, because he knew they would be there for over an hour - but Jack was quite content the whole time, never complained once. He loves to help and work outside. He has quite the drive and endurance.

Trent and Jack also went to get watch a Weber State Basketball game. They had a lot of fun. We won. YAY. Blake was a little sad at first he didn't get to go with them, but I told him that we were going to have some chocolate cake instead - and then he couldn't get them out of the door fast enough. HAHA.

With so much energy, and having to be inside a lot during the winter months, it's hard to figure out where to put all that energy. So we told Jack he could run up and down the stairs. We thought about 10 times would do the trick to slow him down a little bit.. but he wanted to keep going. He wanted to 'get to a really big number'. He run up and down the stairs (12 steps) over 80 times. Trent finally had to convince him to stop because he was worried his little muscles would cramp up! What a powerhouse! - Blake went up and down about 7 times.

Here are some of Blake's awesome pictures of people and 'spider people' . Haha I love them! Pretty good for just turning 3 if you ask me! - And also here are some pictures of other creations the boys made all by themselves.

And of course it's always fun to hang out with family! Here is cute little Teancum with Blake.. he sure loves to hold babies!

Jack lost his first tooth!

It seems like just yesterday he was just starting to get teeth! Wow time sure flies. Jack sure is a great little guy :) He is very excited the tooth fairy is going to visit him.

3 little updates

Just wanted to do a quick update on each of my kiddos!

* Jack has told me he wants to be an astronaut when he grows up. He wants to protect everyone from the storms that happen in space, and he says he will all miss us a lot when he is up there. But he promises he will come back and visit a lot.

Also he has a permanent tooth coming in already!! He hasn't even lost a baby tooth yet! Funny kid. I was talking to him and noticed one of his bottom teeth was sticking out in front. Crazy.

* Blake wants to be a Daddy and a Doctor when he grows up. He is talking all the time and his imagination is quite entertaining. He got mad at me yesterday because we were out of milk, so he told me he was going to 'put me on a mean guys roof and take away the ladder.' haha. I sure love that kid. He is constantly hugging and laying on Tyler. And Tye seems very entertained by it. They have a funny relationship :) .

* Tyler (or 'Tookey' as his brothers call him) is crawling on all fours and is pulling himself up on everything! He loves to stand more than anything. He says the word 'more' when he is getting fed (which he LOVES food btw - when he hears the blender going when we make green smoothies he gets very impatient!) , and he babbles the words 'mama' and 'ba ba ba' all the time. He is so cute. And a VERY determined little fella if you ask me.
