Family gathering

It was fun having Sage (Sylvia) with us while we had her. Her two cute girls are full of personality, and it was fun to see so many cousins all together. Tyler LOVED picking on Rhian, he thought it was hilarious and she of course.. did not. haha. It was also fun to see all the older cousins helping out the younger ones. We also got to watch ALL of the kids run around searching for eggs in an Easter egg hunt. :) That was very entertaining!

Aerial ...

On April 18th I competed in Kairos 1st Annual Aerialympics. I debated on going in the intermediate and advanced categories over and over again. Trent finally convinced me to do advanced... and I am glad he did because

I WON!

Ahhhhh! I won 1st place in the advanced aerial division :D crazy huh? I was nervous, I think because it was a competition, on a stage, and I went at the end of the night... but also because I was performing against a lot of really good talent. I even won my own silk :) It's purple and oh so purdy.

I also got to be on Channel 2 news talking about winning and showing the news anchor how to do some silking action!

I also performed at Onyx for the first time (it's an aerial and pole studio in Sandy). Which was so much fun because it had an intimate crowd and low stress.

And on an awesome note.... Trent made me this amazing rig!!! :) ! Time to get my muscles really working now. I am happy to have my own space to dance. I sure love that man!!

Ty turns two!!

From 1 year old to 2. Love this bean.

Tyler is 2!

I would say that I can't believe he is already 2.. but it seems like this kid is older than this already! haha. He is talking up a storm, has his own opinions about everything, and has no fear. Whenever I am laying him down to sleep, he looks up at me with his beautiful eyes and says, "ABCD!" because his favorite song is the alphabet song (which he can sing about half of it now). Also, if he sees something out of the ordinary he says, "Wwwhhhhhaaaaatt? I laugh every time. He is hilarious.

Tyler loves to do things himself.. like buckle himself in the car. Then he exclaims proudly, "I DID IT! Mommy I DID IT!" Also if he is really trying to show you something he will take your face in his hands and bring his face right to yours before he turns your head to look at whatever it is. Ty still loves to cuddle with Mommy in the morning with his blanket and sippy cup of milk. He can drink out of cups just fine, but he loves to drink and snuggle in the mornings... how can I resist that?! And one of his first sentences was when we would drive down a hill in the car he would exclaim, "Weeeeee dat was fun!"

He will climb anything at the park, or jump off anything. And he is wearing the clothes Blake did when he was 3. Tyler is going to be a tall boy. There is never a dull moment with my smart little guy.

2 year old stats:

Tyler :  37 inches (>95%) 32lbs 4 oz (91%)
Blake : 35 1/4 inches (75%) 29 lbs 5 oz (65%)
Jack : 35 1/4 inches (80%) and 32.8lbs (80%)

Not sure why the percentages are so different when some numbers are close or the same >shrug< oh well. Haha. Love all my boys.

Hawaii....

Trent and I flew to Hawaii.... just the two of us. We had so much fun, I loved every minute of it. The humidity was perfect, and the flowers smelled great. We stayed on the North Shore (which was perfect for us) where the waves were huge and the tourists where minute compared to Waikiki. The placed we rested our heads at night was a small studio apartment where the couch folded out into a bed. It was just a few steps away to the beach.. which we had mostly to ourselves.

We spent the days boogie boarding, snorkeling, laughing, eating shrimp out of trucks, and driving to see whatever we could. We loved the beach Wiamea - It had huge waves and you can see in the picture above that while we were in Hawaii someone took this picture there with the wales. We also went to the swap meet, Polynesian cultural center, pearl harbor, the valley of the temples, the pineapple plant, and whatever else we wanted to see spur of the moment. We also went to a little Chinese restaurant that we actually left the food on the plate and ran out of there because we couldn't get ourselves to eat it! haha. But most of all, I enjoyed just being there with my best friend. We have so much fun together, and I feel really privileged to be trudging around the island with such an awesome, wonderful person.

We also got to have fun on Waikiki with Carol on our last day. lt was so amazing seeing her again!! She is so cute and we are so proud of how she is doing and who she has become as a person. We will miss her, and look forward to seeing her again.

Of course we missed our little stinkers (who had an awesome time spending the week with grandpa) so we were happy to come back and squeeze them.
