Festival of Colors

The Festival of Colors is always so much fun. No crowd surfing this year though!! :) I think next year it would be fun to take the boys with us. It was so funny though, all of a sudden I feel someone rubbing color in my hair, and I turn around and this guy is just LAUGHING about it. I couldn't help but laugh. He went right over to Mike afterwards and did the same thing! What a funny place. So much energy, and so much color. You just cannot NOT have fun at the festival of colors!

And for some odd reason, my big belly was like a magnet to all the photographers who seemed to be at the festival. Ha. I guess it was fun to be a model for a day! haha.

And yes.. another random guy felt it necessary to place a gnome between our bellies. Haha. Yeah, I don't know either. Our due dates are only 2 days apart!

And this handsome man got to come home to a surprise birthday party!!! ... more info on that fun coming soon! :D

Until next time... I hope you have someone fun to hug!! I know Blake sure does!

Growth

Jack planted some seeds in his Sunbeams class a few weeks ago, and has been watering them and keeping them in sunlight. He was so excited the first time he saw that the grass had grown!

Just like him, my little weed!! :)

We went to his speech evaluation on Friday. They sat all the kids in the center room at a table playing playdough - and then would come and bring them to a certain table to do the testing.

I was so proud of Jack! What a great little guy I have - he was sitting patiently the whole time with his playdough, and would do everything they asked. They said he was such a nice kid and was very very smart. They did notice his articulation on a few sounds was a little off (which was why I had him evaluated in the first place) so they said they could work with him on that. I figured it would be easier now to try and help him, so that way when he goes to Kindergarten he would be more than ready for anything they put in front of him!

As for me? I am now a Certified CPR/BLS Instructor!! Yay! I am so excited to teach this, and the classes I took made me realized just how much. It was funny, because when they gave me my official card, I felt a huge rush of adrenaline. I was on a big high for quite awhile.. when it died down, I realized how tired my body was. HAHA. Only 3 more weeks before our little boy is here!! SO EXCITED!

Changing times

So here I am at 25 weeks and 35 weeks.

My belly has definitely grown a tad! Starting to feel a little uncomfortable at times, which is kinda new from my past two pregnancies. Maybe your body takes it a little harder your third time around. (shrug) Who knows?!

About a week ago I noticed fairly strong, albeit not real constant contractions. They lasted about two days. Trent then said, "Well that's odd. They were around the time of the full moon." So I got to thinking about it, and then last time that happened was in February - around the time of THAT full moon too. Odd huh? The next full moon is scheduled for April 6th - 3 days before this little guy will be born via c-section. And who knows, nothing may happen - but it will still be interesting either way to see if it does!

This last weekend we had a lot of fun. We spent most of Friday picking out tile and carpet for the Roy house. We are thinking this one we might want to sell instead of renting it out. Not that we don't mind renting houses, but it's still crazy to think we own 6 houses at this point. The boys had fun in the carpet stores, and splashing in puddles outside - man it was nice outside!!

That night we got to go have fun bowling! Which was actually not as bad as I thought it would be at 35 weeks pregnant! Jack had so much fun, he would set the ball up on the ramp - and then get a running start to push the ball down the lane. HAHA. What a funny guy! Blake ended up sleeping through the entire game. Our day had worn the poor guy out! :) Maybe next time he will get to enjoy it too.

Saturday we spent most of the day at Liberty Park. Jack learned some Capoeria moves from Josh and Keri, and both the boys had more than enough space to run around in (that whole park is HUGE). Realized it's kinda nice to go to smaller parks when your children are young, easier to keep them close!

We also got Blake a tricycle which he is ecstatic about. I have a feeling this Summer will be filled with lots of bike rides :) We went to 3 other parks this weekend too. Got some sun on my face... nice to see Spring is here and Summer is on it's way.

-Oh yeah, and we bought a treadmill. Haha. I joked with Trent about us now being old since we bought a treadmill. He's really excited about it. That's what he wanted for his birthday - lol. We joke about each other being pretty easy to buy for on our birthdays, considering we are the ones who find what we want - and only if we can get them for a good deal!

Lots of fun things coming up here soon! I take my CPR/BLS Instructor Course this Wednesday, I'm taking Jack in for a speech eval on Friday, next week is the Festival of Colors, then Trent's birthday, then we are taking a love and logic class... and then we will have new member of our family here right after Easter!! Oh yeah.. and lots of OB appointments scattered through-out. Better hang on, this rides about to get real fun! :) Hope you're smiling out there!
