Dare to Care Competition

This past weekend I got the awesome opportunity to participate in a circus style dance competition for charity. I was surrounded by amazing talent, and wonderful people there to support many different charities. It was amazing, exciting, and so much fun!!

I danced for 'The Ronan Thompson Foundation' which is a charity to help support childhood cancer. What was the neatest part about the whole thing, was having people I have never met before coming up to me afterwards telling me that my routine made them cry, or stating that it moved them. Someone even wanted their picture with me. I am so blessed that I was able to dance in a way that it made people feel that they wanted to make a difference.
Another amazing thing about the night, was that I got to perform along some amazing friends I have made over this last year. We call it our own aerial family, and it was wonderful to feel a part of something so unique and awesome. Also, my parents came all the way from California, and I was so happy they were able to come support me and watch. My Mom also got to introduce me!

I wish I had taken more photos myself, but I stole a few other people took. Note to self to take more pictures from when I perform! haha

Jack's 1st day of Kindergarten!

Jack started Kindergarten on this date - although I am writing this post a couple weeks after so I could hear what his first thoughts of school were :)

To start out, most people told me to make sure I brought a box of tissues with me, because it would most likely make me cry watching my oldest walk into school for the first time. But instead of tears, I watched this little handsome boy walk into school and I found myself feeling so proud of this little man. He walked in with his head held high, excited for what he was about to embark on. He was ready for school, he was ready to learn, he was ready to grow and overcome the world.

Now having been in school for 2 weeks now, he hasn't stopped loving every day. I see his excitement on the things he is creating, and the friends he is meeting. This kid has so much potential to be anything he wants to be in life. I just hope whatever it is he chooses, it brings him happiness.

Oddly enough he doesn't even seem like a Kindergartener to me. Jack is so wise for his years, he seems so much older than that. I am lucky to be able to still spend my mornings with him.. at least for one more year!

Swimming and Random Happiness

It was fun taking all 3 boys to the swimming pool for two weeks! They all passed their swim classes, and Tyler still has no fear of the water. His teacher was impressed he was doing the things he was doing at his very first class. He was blowing bubbles, starting to turn over on his back after jumping in the pool, kicking his legs on his belly and his back, pulling himself out of the pool, and floating on his back with help.
Blake's teacher seemed to love him (as most of his teachers seem to), and he was just as content as can be hopping into class with all the other kids.

Jack started grabbing rings on the bottom of the shallow pool, and was busy bouncing up and down waiting his turn to him in the pool to his teacher. (He always has so much energy - it's good he's starting soccer soon!)

Also lately we've been having fun 'seeing what things float', climbing trees, helping clean, drinking smoothies, and drawing pictures of people. I can't believe school starts for Jack NEXT week! Ahhh. He will be in Kindergarten, and will attending The Leadership Learning Academy which is a brand new charter school that opened up a few blocks from our home! Not only do I love the location (and that he got in!), but they will be doing 'Project Child' there and really emphasize leadership. Can't believe he will be starting school... but he is so ready for school, Jack loves to learn.

Eco Beads!

We got a fun project in the mail the other day from Grandma in California, and have been having a great time watching these fun seeds grow! Tyler may not have helped us out too much, but he always stood by in anticipation with us! haha, I wasn't sure who enjoyed this more... them or me! :)
