Take the chance..

It's possible I have always thought this way.. or maybe it's just a realization I have learned lately- but either way, it's something I deem important. It could be that I enjoy the adrenaline. Or maybe I am just, in nature, a very curious person. Unknown outcomes intrigue me, and I enjoy wanting to know what is out there...

One thing I have noticed about people, is that some people are genuinely scared to take a chance at something unknown. They sit somewhat content with their life, but yet complain that nothing good is happening to them. These people I just want to take their shoulders in my hands.. and shake 'em! It's like an overweight person complaining they are out of shape while eating twinkies. I know the world can be scary, and I know bad things happen and consistency is helpful to some, but please - experience life!!

Something I remember that has stuck with me, was when someone once told me to put anything you want on your resume.. then figure out how to do it later. Ha. Now in most cases, that's not very bright - but let me tell you this, it sure would help you stay motivated if you definitively needed to learn something fast. People who know me, know that I like to apply for jobs - and yes, at times I have had several. Why, you may ask? Partly because I enjoy the competition of applying. Also because I love to learn new things, and meet new people constantly. The fear of the unknown is intriguing. But yes.. many people are afraid of that venture.

Some people say.. "One day.." and yet they sit doing nothing. Making small changes like buying a new car, or getting another cat. But in retrospect what they should be doing, is getting out there in life and jumping out of an airplane (both figuratively and bluntly). People need to break out of their boxes, get uncomfortable, really experience life, and take major risks. They need to get their hearts pounding.

One reason I think we have taken risks, is because we would totally be just as content living in a one bedroom apartment - as long as we are all together. We know how to eat off of just rice and bean and Ramen noodles, because we've done it before. May just have to spice up the recipes a bit ;) . And you're right, it definitely wouldn't be as comfortable - but MAN would we have some good stories!

So please... make memorable stories, take chances, enjoy the adrenaline of being scared. Experience everything out of life. Because you know what? - That's what makes you truly feel alive.

26?!

Wow.. I am getting old. Haha.

I had a great birthday! My boys made it so special - all day Jack and Blake would randomly run up to me and yell, "Happy Birthday Mommy!" . How could it get more awesome than that ;) ? And Tyler even only woke up once during the night! It's like he knew..

We all got to go out to eat - first time as a family of 5, and it was honestly a lot of fun. Trent got me a Galaxy Tablet (I KNOW!!) Now I can figure out what all this 'App' talk is about! haha

To finish the night off, Trent got me a tube of cookie dough. I know.. and I don't care if you judge me! HA! We plan on celebrating with cake and ice cream tomorrow with some friends. Oh, and I realized facebook is kinda a fun thing on your birthday - you feel really special with all the 'shout outs' ;)

We were originally planning on going paragliding for my birthday, but I couldn't stand the fact that I would have to leave little Tye bug for more than an hour. Not quite ready for that yet! LOL, he's still my little guy! But definitely within the next year or two. Have to knock that one off my bucket list sometime!

Generate - (v.) To bring into existence

Things are always constantly changing around the Livingston household. What can we say? - We like keeping things interesting ;)

I decided I wanted a project - so I set my eye on planting a garden in the front of our house. When I started digging, I ended up pulling a muscle in my abdomen (which was my fault being 3.5 weeks post c-section )- Ooops. So luckily my handsome men came to the rescue and helped me till the soil!

After it was all ready, we planted some great flowers! - Of course, that's after I learned the difference between annuals and perennials and made two different trips to the store, HAHA. But no worries, you learn as you go right? Now I just have to learn to keep them alive... :)

~ As for life with little Tye now in the mix? I love it! He wants to stay up every night until about midnight.. but after that he only wakes up once. Then he wakes up usually around the same time the boys do - around 6:30 or 7. So most of the time I get fairly decent sleep, although some nights keep me busy! And luckily those nights aren't anything more than a good nap can't fix.

Jack and Trent got an opportunity to spend a whole day at Lagoon a couple weeks ago - and Jack absolutely loved the... wait for it... BIG ROLLER COASTERS! Good thing he's nice and tall and fit the height requirements! He's been asking to go back ever since :) He also loved the bumper cars and the Ferris wheel.

One thing I noticed when they were gone was that Blake really missed his older brother to play with. I think it was the first time they had actually been apart for the entire day. - AND I realized that having 3, is actually in some ways easier than having just two kids, because the older two keep each other entertained! Who would've thought? ;)

Another changing element you might ask? Trent just got a new calling. Looks like our lives are about to get quite a bit busier :)
