tis the season

Christmas and the new baby are closely approaching. We are very excited, and busy this time of year. Jack and his dog Buddy are keeping themselves busy, and having a good time doing so. Here are some pictures of them playing together.

Jack trying to be just like his daddy!

So I am now 37 weeks, and it's crazy to think the new little brother will be here before the end of the year. I finally feel ready, and have been starting to wash all of Jack's old newborn clothes and set up his little moses basket! Newborn clothes are sooo little. I am so excited. I keep telling Trent that I am 'baby hungry' and he says, "well that's good cause you don't have much time left!" lol. I am schedualed to have a c-section on the 29th. I was going to try to attempt a VBAC, but with the issues with my heart we all think it's wise to play it safe this time around. So his b-day will be then unless he decides to come earlier. I have had a few contractions, but think I will make it ! I have a feeling he won't be quite as big as Jack was.

Jack loves the Christmas tree. He loves the lights and especially the candy canes which he discovered are edible! haha, we ended up moving all of those up higher on the tree so he would stop eating all of them! He really likes the Christmas globe that makes "SNOW!" and music!

If we don't end up sending out Christmas cards this year - we wanted to wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS, and a HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Our October fun~

Here is a picture of the buffalo I will mention later in the post.. Sorry it's out of place!!
Jack was a Frog this halloween.. and he was trying to get ahold of this whole 'trick or treat' thing. The first house he went to, he got a sucker.. and then he was just as content as can be - just wanted to keep on walking with his sucker. He still gets bashful at first around strangers, and he was wondering why people kept giving him stuff. I thought it was funny, that after we came home- Trent would give him broccoli and carrots to munch on! He didn't know the difference so he was just smiling away. Oh how I love that kid- he is such a cutie!

Here he is running away from the camera! He's on the move!

Jack loves his uncle Mike, and he says his name with such excitement. He always waves at him whenever he comes into a room, even if he just left!

I realized I need to start taking more pictures, so I thought I would post a few of our cute little family lately. I want to get some good ones before Christmas, and the before the new little tot comes along. We are getting excited.. only about 1.5 months left before Jack gets a little brother!

This is me at 31 weeks ~ about 2 weeks ago. I keep running into things! This little guy is sure a mover! Jack wiggled alot, so I use to call him my wiggle butt, and this new baby I call my little ninja! He sure knows how to kick box!

We took a trip up to South Dakota to spend some time with family, and we had so much fun!! It was too bad we couldn't stay longer. We went and fed some wild mules apples. Trent and Carol brought them back over to the car and Jack really enjoyed himself! When they got back in the car, we noticed a buffalo too! Right across the road! Everyone thought it was funny that I got so worried about it, I kept saying, "my child is in the car!"

Trent got such a kick out of the mules! We were all laughing so hard because they are NOT the cleanest eaters, and they kept sticking their heads into the window so they could get more apples.

We also went to Bear Country, which was so much fun! Jack loved seeing all the animals - he learned the words, bear and reindeer there!

and it was cold!

What a weekend!

This weekend we had the opportunity to go to Willard Lake for some fun with friends! It was alot of fun, and Jack sure had a blast. While driving by on the skii dos, Jack and his Buddy Hayden kept waving to each other- it was so cute!! It was so nice outside, nice and cool - perfect weather to be on the lake :)

On Sunday we decided to give Jack his first haircut... well almost his first hair cut (if you count us trimming his old man mullet right after he was born :) He did pretty well for his first hair cut.. Trent did a great job, and we think he just looks as sharp as ever now. I was a little worried at first because little Jack has fine hair just like his mommy, so I was afraid he would have nothing left!! Here are some before and after pictures~

He's going to be a tall boy!

Jack went in for his 18 month appointment today! And one of the first things they said was.. WOW he is a tall boy!! He is off the charts for his height, and I asked the pediatrician how tall she thought he might be when he grows up, and she said that if he keeps on the same path he will be at LEAST 6'4 when he is all grown up.

Length = 35 1/4 inches ~ off the charts

Weight = 28.10 pounds ~ 85 %

Head Cir = 51.2 cm ~ 95 %

These are his stats from his 15 month appointment -

Length = 33 1/2 inches ~ 95%

Weight = 27.9 pounds ~ 85 %

Head Cir = 50.5 cm ~ 95 %

We sure love our little guy!! He is so fun, and such a sweet little boy :)

23 weeks & 18 months

Jack turned 18 months on us a few weeks ago and we just love this stage in his life. He is so fun learning new words and running all over the place!! He still loves balls, and we set up the basketball hoop his grandparents gave him and he just loves that too. He always wants to be outside, and loves going on bike rides with the family and Buddy. He uses a fork and a spoon when he eats, sleeps 12 hours at night, and takes a 3 hour nap during the day. :) He's such a good fun little guy. He started trying to throw temper tantrums a few weeks ago, and he sure is a stubborn little guy.. he threw one once for 30 minutes! Not even kidding, that kid has drive! LOL. But he threw a ton for about 5 days, and it was hard not giving him any attention, but now it's been almost 2 weeks since he threw one... so I am not sure if they come in waves, or if he's learned he doesn't get what he wants when he throws them ~ Hopefully it's the second one ! He loves to give hugs and kisses before bedtime, and will start waving "goodbye" when he is tired. We take him in for his 18 month appointment next week.. I am sure he will still be in the 90th percentile in everything.. he is a big boy! We sure love him!!

Jack and his cousin Diego. They are good friends :)
As for me, I am now 23 weeks. My belly grew I swear in a span of 4 days! None of my regular shirts fit anymore. Crazy. One morning I put on a pair of pants, and then at the end of the day they didn't fit anymore!! And I know I didn't eat that much - LOL. Nausea has pretty much gone away, and this little boy is kicking and moving like CRAZY! Trent can already see my belly move from the outside.. we are going to have another little wild one on our hands :) !

Life has been crazy around here the last few weeks! I took another job (I know I'm crazy, but you gotta grab opportunites when ya can!) It is only an 'on call shift' in nuclear medicine 1 weekend a month at Davis Hospital. But the last few weeks I have been trying to get orientation in along with my other job and while trying to edit a wedding video and get my gymnastics judging stuff ready to go for the next season! Wooo, I think things are starting to slow down a little. Which is good. But no worries, we have still had much time to play :) .
My sister in law should be having her baby any day now, and we are so excited to have another niece or nephew in the family. We will get to go see them in about a month, so we are super excited. And my parents are officially living in California now. :( sad they are so far away, but they seem to really like it down there. And, we get to go to Disney Land when we go see them.. and Trent has never been, so it will be fun bringing our kids there when they get a little older.
And as for Trent, we got him a Ford Escape and we sold our Grand Am. He is still at the Base and he is still my man in shining armor. Oh how I love that guy. :)

Happy 5th Anniversary!!

Yay! Happy 5 years to us!
wow how times flies :) ! Our anniversary was on August 6th.. and we have never been happier. I am so lucky to have such an awesome husband, he honestly does soo much for me.. and I really feel spoiled to have such a great, handsome husband!! I recently found some pictures of us before and right after his mission just a little while ago, and can't believe we have known each other for about 11 years now! I thought I would post a few little facts about Trent & I....
* I was 18 and Trent was 22 when we got married
* He says our first kiss was by an outhouse... it was actually by the lake, the outhouse was at least 30 yards away! lol
* He kissed me before we were even dating
* We got married in the MT. Timpanogos Temple.. at 7:30 in the morning... haha we were late!
* We dated for almost 1 year before getting engaged.. and were engaged for only 2 months
* I was in love with him from the first time I met him... I was 12
* When I first met him I thought he only had 2 siblings.. then he kept introducing more.. and more and more! He has 7!
* I sent him a dear john letter on his misson ( we weren't dating, we just both thought it would be funny ) .. it included a box full of random items he had to explain to his mission buddies - lol - including an extra large pair of womens underwear!!
* I had written in my journal when I was about 15 that I wanted to marry someone like Trent
* Trent said the biggest surprise he had when we got married, was how much toliet paper women go through
* We hitch hiked over much of Mexico on our honeymoon
* Ever since we got married, we have traveled by plane at least twice a year
* I love him more and more every year.. I feel very lucky to have him and his family in my life

18 weeks

me @ 18 weeks

So I am finally starting to feel a little better... still really tired but I think that is because I am anemic.. so I should go get me some iron pills. We will find out in 2 weeks what we are having! We are really excited to find out. It has been a pretty crazy summer with many friends and family visiting and with my parents moving to California. August looks like it will be just as busy.. which is a good thing, but will make the rest of the summer fly by. My parents are moving to a place called Paso Robles.. which is just 20 minutes from the beach, so it will be really fun going to visit them.

My dizziness is starting to get a little better as well. Just caught my heart rate up in the 170's once while I was standing. I still should be taking it pretty easy.. but it gets frustrating when you can't stand for a long time like everyone else around ya.

Jack is getting cuter I swear every day. But I am sure that is what every parent says! He likes to say 'uh oh', 'thank you', 'more', 'please', and 'ball'. And he will repeat things back.. but only once after you say it. LOL he is a hoot. He loves to use a spoon and fork, and now only wants to sit at the table and not in his high chair anymore. Man kids grow up fast! But he still loves hugs and I hope that will always be the same :) .

Fourth, Family, Fun & Friends!!

Over the Fourth of July we headed to Lander, WY (which is my home town), with alot of good friends and family. It was an amazing weekend. Probably one of my favorite Fourths to date. The interesting thing about Wyoming, is that everyone joys in having huge fireworks that they set off themselves.. making the Lander Skyline really something to see! But what also makes it interesting, it that there are so many fireworks going off, that many things tend to go up in flames.. and trust me - you do NOT want to be driving down the roads at night time :) . The night before the Fourth, we always go see the 'Bill's Fireworks' which are put on by a man in our town from our old ward there. They are so amazing and he really makes you realize WHY we are celebrating. There are most likely double the amount of people there over the Fourth for this reason.. going from around 7000 people to over 10000 people!

These are pictures of the Skyline on the night of the 4th!

Aww so cute - all of our family and friends ! @ Tony's Pizza in Lander

We decided to go swimming in Thermopolis on the Fourth after the parade. We haven't been there in forever and it was a blast!! Jack is a little afraid of the water, but I think if we work with him a little each day - hopefully he will get over that fear :( . Our friends little boy on the other hand - is fearless. He even went down the slide (mostly by himself), with a big grin on his face - and he is only 1 years old! LOL. Here is a picture of our friends that came with us. Sorry guys - I stole this picture from your blog!

Josh, Keri, Eliana & Julian who hung out with us over the fourth!
