Random thoughts..

This world isn't the same world I grew up in. In so many ways, it's absolutely the same.. and in others, it's so different. Growing up and realizing you are the person that has to make so many important decisions makes you really take a look around the world that is before you. There is no one else making the path before you anymore, steering you in the direction they believe is the one for you. Now it's your time to make your path.. and which one are you going to choose? Which one is the RIGHT one.. is there really a right one?

Photo: Day Thirty-Three:

Isaiah 41:13 - "For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not Fear; I will help you."I sit here and constantly wonder.. with many things that are affecting the world, are people just becoming more lenient.. or are they becoming more open? Are they not living up to what they are suppose to do, or were the rules holding some back so much they weren't truly able to show their true colors? I am not sure if things are getting better, or worse.. or maybe a little bit of both.

The knowledge of the world is always constantly growing - and it seems like such a rapid pace. It's hard to tell what is the truth, or what isn't.. or what advice you really need to follow. There is truly no black and white. Just many different wonderful confusing colors in-between.

The more educated you become in this world, the more complicated everything seems. Like Easter for instance, when you are young.. you color eggs from the Easter bunny and celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Bam. Done.. that's it. But what gets confusing is when you actually try to figure out WHY the Easter bunny / eggs / and Jesus all have in common, and who started celebrating it as a holiday and how it all fits together. Or all of the holidays for that matter.

Or even when you try to think about marriage and how it has changed so much... In some cultures there were arranged marriages - or you couldn't marry a person of a different race or gender. And when you got married, divorce was out of the question. It's as if we need to find a strong middle ground.. because it goes back to - are we being too lenient or just more open? What is too lenient.. or is it really so bad to be open to so much change?

Change is a good thing.. but then do we need to hang on to certain traditions forever? Why are some staples forever bound to certain cultures, religions, ages?

I think I might just become a monk and live in the mountains.. haha. But I guess this is why life is so darn interesting. With more knowledge SO many doors open. I guess we just have to figure out which door is the right one for each of us.

My 3 Loves

Love #1 - Jack

This kid is seriously awesome. He is so darn smart, and he is very helpful and kind. Jack is very into playing games lately- and he is really getting good at them. He loves 'Go Fish', 'Spider Solitaire', 'Checkers', 'Rummy', 'Tic Tac Toe', 'War', and 'Bingo'.

He is also still a 5 year old though, and likes to see how far he can push things before he gets in trouble. haha. He is very good at making compromises when things don't go his way, which I guess will help him with negotiations when he gets older!

Jack is also on a very big health kick, which is sure nice. He always asks if things are healthy and good for you before he eats them. It really makes you think before you even start preparing them now. His goal for eating healthy is to be able to run really fast and live a long time.

Love # 2 - Blake

Blake is such a funny kid. That is honestly what Trent and I say to each other almost every day. Lately he has been asking for 'love energy', which means you need to go give him a big hug and it will restore his fading energy. Haha. He literally waves his arms over his body and says the energy is returning.

If you are ever feeling down, or bored, just come over and listen into Blake's world of imagination on when he's playing all by himself. I swear, it's better than any movie you've ever seen. And who can resist that sweet voice and his baby blue eyes. Which will stare up at you when he gets in trouble and reply's  " I sorry, I not going to do it again."

Hugs in his world cure anything. Which I think we can learn a little bit of life from that.

Love # 3 - Tyler

Tyler is such a hoot. I swear if a baby could crawl with a strut, it would be this kid. He has such a fun personality. He gets so excited, and his new favorite thing is to throw both of his hands up in the air. He does it when he's happy about something, and most of the time before he takes off crawling.

He still incredibly loves the water to the point he has been taking his own baths now. He is all over that tub! He is splashing playing, smiling, sticking his face in the water, and never wants to get out.

Still not quite walking yet, but he will stand up in the middle of the room and balance for as long as he wants. I am sure that when he does decide just to put that one foot forward, he will be all over the place. :)

I wanted to leave this message to my boys. I love you all so so much.

I hope you always know how much you mean to me, and how exclusively special you are to this world.

Thank you for letting me love you.

It's finally getting warmer!

This little guy is now 11 months old! He is truly a character :) . Not only does he have only 3 teeth on the bottom (which it's been that way for a few months now), but he loves excitement. I mean, here is a kid, who when pushing the stroller down a slight hill, will lean over the front with his hands up in the air like it's be best roller coaster around. He is continually laughing and throwing himself into the thick of the commotion. Tyler will even stand up while on the couch, put his hands up in the air, and fall straight backwards and laugh when he bounces. He obviously doesn't have any problems with the 'trust exercise' haha.

It's been nice since the weather has been warmer, the boys have been playing a lot outside. And it's been fun too because we give them a walkie-talkie when they go 'exploring' so we can always be in contact with them. Yesterday Jack sent Blake outside to gather some sticks and leaves for a 'craft' they were making. I was just smiling as I heard Jack on the home walkie-talkie saying, "Blake... I love you. Don't forget your mission."

We also have been taking advantage of the park with our bikes. Crazily enough the boys have both outgrown their bikes, so we should be upgrading here soon. Jack grows so fast! I swear this morning the pajama pants he went to bed in no longer fit!!

We are getting so excited for the nice spring weather to stay, and for Summer to come. So many more adventures to face, and fun times ahead. :) I sure love my little family.

Jack turns 5!

Jack is now a whole hand!! This was the first birthday he actually was counting down the days on the calendar. He picked out what he wanted for a cake, and even decided that he wanted to go swimming on his birthday (no worries, we went to an indoor pool!). Jack was also very excited because 'California Grandma' was coming to his birthday. - This is a self portrait of himself :)
This birthday was kinda themed around Super Mario Brothers because that is Jack's absolute favorite game. The boys all had Super Mario Bro. shirts, his cake was also aimed that way, and Jack was super excited when he got the Super Mario Brothers Wii game. Which he is great at by the way - (we just told him he could play it for 30 min twice a week - and he has put smiley faces on the days so he doesn't forget!).

Jack is a super smart, super athletic kid. He can now count past 100, and can write and read many words. He is very helpful getting his brothers ready, and helping Blake and himself get buckled up in the car (which is SOO nice). He says he wants to be a basketball player ,and an astronaut when he grows up so he can help save the world. His favorite color is yellow, and his favorite food is maccoroni.

His train he made completely by himself and surprised me with it!
Jack's picture of people on the world and lava on the inside.

Jack's very first letter

And his brothers are darn stinkin cute too. Blake is so funny, he can fall asleep anywhere- he even fell asleep in Sunbeams last week!! On the floor - haha! These kids are so darn fun.

Oh, and when we went swimming, it amazed me how much Tyler absolutely loves the water. I don't think he stopped splashing and laughing the whole time we were there. And since being home, he keeps sticking his head under the facet in the bathtub! I think he might be our little fish. haha.
