The knowledge of the world is always constantly growing - and it seems like such a rapid pace. It's hard to tell what is the truth, or what isn't.. or what advice you really need to follow. There is truly no black and white. Just many different wonderful confusing colors in-between.
The more educated you become in this world, the more complicated everything seems. Like Easter for instance, when you are young.. you color eggs from the Easter bunny and celebrate the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Bam. Done.. that's it. But what gets confusing is when you actually try to figure out WHY the Easter bunny / eggs / and Jesus all have in common, and who started celebrating it as a holiday and how it all fits together. Or all of the holidays for that matter.
Or even when you try to think about marriage and how it has changed so much... In some cultures there were arranged marriages - or you couldn't marry a person of a different race or gender. And when you got married, divorce was out of the question. It's as if we need to find a strong middle ground.. because it goes back to - are we being too lenient or just more open? What is too lenient.. or is it really so bad to be open to so much change?
Change is a good thing.. but then do we need to hang on to certain traditions forever? Why are some staples forever bound to certain cultures, religions, ages?
I think I might just become a monk and live in the mountains.. haha. But I guess this is why life is so darn interesting. With more knowledge SO many doors open. I guess we just have to figure out which door is the right one for each of us.
