Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving we actually had approximately 3 Thanksgiving meals! How fun it was too! There were so many family in town we just had to cram all the fun in we possibly could. First it started off with our 'Redneck Thanksgiving' as Trent called it. HAHA. Since Grandpa and Grandma Carolyn's dinner wasn't until Saturday we decided to do something at our house on the actual Thanksgiving.

First Gretel had everyone over to her house for a special Thanksgiving breakfast! It was so yummy and all the cousins loved playing together. Of course, uncle Mike had fun playing as well.

Then that evening we did kind of a pot luck style feast at our house, where we cooked the Turkey and homemade rolls, and everyone else brought something to share. At first I was a little nervous about the whole thing since there was going to be 26 people (14 kids) at our house, but it turned out SO fun and surprisingly not stressful! How, you may ask? Well everyone served themselves, we had plastic plates - cups - silverware, and nobody had a problem just sitting anywhere they could find (hence why Trent called it the 'Redneck Thanksgiving'). The boys loved spending so much time with their cousins this week.

On Saturday morning the boys went to their first ever movie theater experience (GASP). It was a fun movie about 4 penguins, and Tyler kept leaning over to me the whole time and saying, "It's dark in here Mommy!" They especially liked the little goodie bags that were on their seats.

Then that night we headed over to Grandpa and Grandma Carolyn's house for a real beautiful and festive Thanksgiving meal. It was great to see everyone and have some delicious food. Tyler REALLY enjoyed the pie... well at least the whipping on top!

Oh wait, the night wasn't over yet!! We ALL headed over to temple square to check out the lights. HOLY TOLEDO was that placed packed. We could barely move an inch, and with all the kids that were with us, it was quite the adventure. At least we had a night we won't forget, along with wonderful fudge (that at first glance I wasn't too thrilled about - HAHA). But the water show was so fun, and it really was great to be able to spend time with cute little Jenni and her 4 beautiful kiddos.
