Well moving day went faster then we both expected.. Thanks to all the help of friends and family!! Especially with that piano - it's good to have strong men around! We ended up renting a Uhaul, which made the whole process much easier. We only had one big load, and then a few small ones we just did ourselves. It was sad to leave our first home behind, but onto new adventures, new friendships, and new memories!
So we have been in our new home for about a month now, and we are just absolutely loving it. It already feels like home, and I have a feeling we will be here for quite awhile. Most of the homes we have bought have been 'fixer upper' homes, and this one all we needed to do was paint. The main living room, right when you walk in, was all baby blue! I know I know, it's not a bad color... but it seems just a little weird for a living room.
So we painted almost the entire upstairs.. and now all we have left is one bedroom and the bathroom. The paint jobs aren't bad, so I am still not sure if we plan on painting them right away. One day I was taking a nap and when I woke up I found Trent painting the kitchen Forrest green! I know, a bold color to be painting without the permission of the spouse huh... But I LOVED IT! He sure knows me well, it was such a awesome surprise! And for those of you who know Trent, it was a big thing.. especially because he always tries to paint things white :) .
It's so nice living closer to work (it only takes Trent 4 minutes!), and the neighbors so far all seem very nice! We have no backyard neighbors, and we never will. The land behind our house is owned by Weber State in case they ever want to expand the Davis Campus. So it's nice because they keep it mowed and very nice. I still need to decorate our down stairs and the bathrooms.. but besides that I think we are pretty much settled. It was actually quite easy on Jack. I wasn't sure if it would be hard on him moving to a new place with a new room and everything, but he just seems as happy as ever! He is such a good little guy ~
Ok ok, so I have this really good friend of mine... she and I decided to start a bet. I had told her how baby hungry I was and that we had started 'trying'. She told me that they were thinking about it too... and I bet you can guess what the 'bet' was. It was 'who could get pregnant first' ! ha. So off we went on our merry ways, and we had decided when we were all going to get together and take pregnacy tests. Well... you know how patient I am! We ended up texting each other and wanting to take the tests sooner than we had originally planned. So we were going to take a picture with our cell phones and send it to each other. She sent me hers first... and it was was a digital test that read "postitive" Yay!! I was so excited for her. I was waiting for mine.. you know, the ones with the two lines, and only one line showed up. :( So I sent her the picture with the negative results. I have to admit, I was pretty bummed out. But it was our first month trying so I shouldn't have been so distraut. My great husband that he is gave me a huge hug and told me not to worry about it, and to wait a few days and try again. I mean, I had just barely missed my period. So I went back to the table where my test was... and I looked really really close... and I swear I saw a REALLY REALLY faint line. But maybe I just wanted it so bad that it was all in my head. 'Trying' is a lot harder than finding out by accident that's for sure!! You know all the dates to a T and it drives you crazy I swear. But about 4 days later I decided to take another test... and this is what I saw....
YAY!!! It's still a little faint ... but DEFINATELY THERE!! We are sooo excited!! So the bet ended up being a tie after all! And we are due 1 day apart!! crazy huh? It should be fun !
Now I know that I just barely found out, and it's probably best to wait until after the first trimester to tell others... But we were just so excited, and we like to roll to the beat to a different drumb I guess. I am 6 weeks along.

He is the most amazing person!! And I love him soo soo much.. I am so glad he was born 27 years ago, and I couldn't imagine a better person for me. Thanks for everything and I hope you have an awesome birthday love!!

We finally found a home that we love!! It felt like forever looking for a house.. we wanted specific things so we were pretty picky. Trent wanted a two car garage, I wanted a master bath, we both wanted a rambler - AND we wanted it in the right neighborhood. Goodness gracious~ well anywho- we are soo excited. It is under contract right now and it will be ours on April 8th! I will get better pictures up when we move.. we still have to paint some of the walls and make it our own, but when we do I think it will be a great home for us.

As of Saturday morning we have had 10 puppies in our house!! That my friends is a lot of doggies. My parents are the ones who own both of the parents, and since they live in Wyoming where there is not alot of interest in puppies, they sent them to us to sell them! I can't believe how fast we are selling them.. and now that we are down to only 4 puppies, they are very fun to play with. We got Buddy 'our dog' about 8 months ago and we just love him to pieces. He is such a big part of our family. Jack and Buddy are really best friends... they crawl all over the place together. 'Doggy' was actually Jack's 1st word! They both get so excited whenever they see each other. I can't believe how good Buddy is with him too. Jack will grab his ears, pull him off the couch, pat him really hard... and Buddy just licks him and brings him his toys. It is really cute. They are exactly 3 months apart in age.

So today Jack has officially been on this earth for one whole year!! Crazy how time flies... and how much you can love someone who has only been around for such a short amount of time. Life sure wouldn't be the same without our little 'Jack Jack'. We had a very fun party for him yesterday.. and he just LOVED cake. Too bad the frosting was blue... maybe we will have to think more in advance next time.. haha. He had lots of fun, and got to see lots of good friends and family. There were 35 people in our home for his party. He is one LOVED little dude. Happy birthday Jack ~ we sure love you ~

So we just sold our first home... it's kinda sad, but exciting that we are onto another adventure in our lives. We are actually quite amazed it sold so quickly in this economy - and because we had it for sale by owner. The lady who bought it is very very sweet, so it makes it easier to hand it over to someone who you know is excited to have it. And yes, we are still living here for the moment - but that's because we haven't found a place to live yet. Our duplex that we bought a few months ago is under contract now, and we will close on that on the 2nd of March. We are looking for homes in East Layton. We have our eye on one we just absolutely LOVE.. we call it DREAM.. .and we are still waiting to hear back from the bank if we got it. We are crossing our fingers. It is completely unfinished on the inside- but that just makes us more excited. That way we can really make it our own. But if that falls through, hopefully we will find a place that fits us good :). Whatever we do, hopefully we will know soon! Soo bye bye first home... hello new adventures!!
