Getting to know you

Tyler is a funny kid. He is so much fun to be around, it's contagious. Now if you have met him, you may think: "What a serious little person." And in a way he kinda is. He is an observer, and is continually watching and learning about the world around him. But once you get to know him, he is hilarious!

He is only 7 months old, but he will play his heart out with you - he will roll towards you and attack you with his little hands and feet and try to eat your face. He will laugh hysterically if you have something pretend to eat his belly or tickle him. And he LOVES when his Dad flips him upside down or bounces him in the air. I have never seen a more entertained face than at those moments.

Tyler can get anywhere he wants to go now, and he can move pretty darn quick. He has mastered the army crawl and is determined in his ventures. He likes to be involved in whatever his brothers are doing, and they like him to be involved too.

Some people say the more kids you have the harder it can be, but I like to think of it as that much more fun - and that many more helpers you have around the house. Sure they may mess up it that much faster, but at least they are genuine at helping clean it up afterwards! Even if sometimes they are only motivated by the fact Daddy might throw away any toys that are left on the floor when he gets home from work! Haha.

Last Thursday my neck hurt so bad that I couldn't even lift my head off my pillow without extreme pain. My range of motion was decreased by about 60-80% in any direction. The only explanation would be from when we were rear-ended a couple of weeks ago. The pain was in the exact spot where it had been sore from that accident.

Anyone who has ever had a neck spasm before, I feel your pain. As of today my motion is almost completely back after a few trips to the Chiropractor. Only limited now on turning to the left which is still about 50% restricted. I was reluctant for them to take x-rays, but when they did I noticed that the curvature of my c-spine doesn't have the regular curve due to whiplash, and that the odontoid process (top of spine that is the 'axis' of the skull)  is a few inches off of center. No wonder it hurts :P. Anywho, I should be back to myself in no time! Hope everyone is having fun out there!

  1. Tyler is so, so cute!! And I'm so glad you found a good chiropractor! I'm kinda surprised you never needed one while learning the silks stuff. I would have fallen on my head 12 times an hour....at least.
